We had the good fortune to do our British Isles cruise on the former Ocean Princess. Such a sweet experience sailing on a ship whose listed capacity was IIRC 670. COVID completely changed our outlook (not being able to cruise for 2+ years). When we saw the British Isles cruises on the Regal for summer 2024, we went ahead and booked. I have been buried in planning for it the past couple of weeks and I think that we have come up with an amazing touring itinerary for pre-cruise, each port, and post-cruise.
Fun Facts about Royal Princess:
You’ll find that cruise ships journeying the British Isles are offering something a little bit different. For example, Ambassador Cruises is running a special Jubilee Cruise in honor of the Queen’s Jubilee this year. This gives you the chance to experience something you’ll never again get the chance to experience, making it completely unique.
Scotland, Ireland & UK Cruise Ports of Call
Most of the rest of the time you will be far enough out to sea to not see a lot. Not sure if this happened to you, but almost all of the sailings on the Princess Crown were canceled, as they are redeploying that ship to the Caribbean and replacing her with the Sky. There were 20 sailings moved to the Sky and 2 sailings to the Regal. Please check the attached photo, listing all off the pertinent information.

Let Princess pick you up from the airport and take you directly to your ship or hotel when you arrive, even if you didn't book your airfare through us. To the OP @devolve I highly recommend for your stop in Liverpool, do a Lakes District tour. Our cruise went to the Orkney Islands as, from memory, they exchanged that stop with Glasgow. We did a ship tour to Paris from Le Havre and thought it was a waste of time as the drive to Paris was about 2 hours and we only had time to the see the sights from a wet bus window.

In the post below you can see photos of a ship docked in Greenock starboard side to the dock. Not much to see from the ship in Cobh, just a rail station and cliff. In Greenock we experienced a bag pipe welcome both times we were there and had a view of the working docks. One side will give you a view of the dock, the other a view across the channel to the Titanic dock and some city skyline.
